A LEGACY BUILT ON FANFAMILY, PASSION & GIVING BACK

Some Buccaneers fans watch the games.

Some live the games.

And then there are the people who help create a FanFamily that lasts a lifetime.

At just 7 years old, the journey began. The moment came in December of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ second season, when a young fan watched the Bucs earn their very first team victory against the New Orleans Saints.

That win didn’t just put a smile on a seven-year-old’s face—it sparked a lifelong love affair with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

🏴‍☠️ FROM FAN TO CAPTAIN

Years later, that passion would become something much bigger.

As one of the Original 9 Buccaholics, the vision wasn’t initially about building a massive organization or becoming a nonprofit charity powerhouse.

It was much simpler.

Nobody wanted to sit alone on the couch watching the game anymore.

The Buccaholics was born from a desire for community.

A desire for FanFamily.

A desire to connect Buccaneers fans so they would always have somebody to cheer with on Sundays.

What started with fans coming together eventually grew into what would become the largest 100% nonprofit charity group in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers community—but the heart of the organization never changed.

It was always about the people.

⚓ TEN YEARS OF MAKING A DIFFERENCE

For ten years, this Buccaholic served as the organization’s Chief Communications Officer.

 He gave this group a voice and heled unite people not only at tailgates but from home sharing the game with others that could not and did not have access to the game.

 He helped guide an incredible group of fans while creating memories that stretched far beyond football.

Looking back, there is no regret.

Not one thing would be changed.

Ten years meant meeting and spending time with some of the most incredible people and Buccaneers fans in the world.

It meant building friendships.

It meant creating unforgettable game-day experiences.

And most importantly, it meant having the opportunity to make a difference through charity.

That’s a legacy that goes far beyond wins and losses.

🏆 MEMORIES THAT WILL NEVER FADE

There are simply too many Buccaholic memories to choose just one.

But three stand above the rest.

The First L.A. Tailgate

The first Los Angeles tailgate, at the row of houses by the Coliseum, remains unforgettable.

In the words of the Captain, it was a tailgate and party unlike anything experienced before—and perhaps anything that ever will be experienced again.

Qualcomm Stadium

Then there was the legendary game at Qualcomm Stadium.

The Buccaneers didn’t just take care of business on the field—they took over the stadium atmosphere as well.

But the real significance went beyond football.

It was one of the first times the Buccaholics organized an event specifically to raise money for charity, with proceeds benefiting Honor Flight.

A day that combined football, friendship, victory, and giving back—the very things the Buccaholics came to represent.

🎉 THE SECOND SUPER BOWL

One memory deserves a special place in Buccaneers history.

The Bucs’ second Super Bowl championship.

Even though the game itself wasn’t experienced from inside the stadium, being in Tampa at WTB—close enough to the stadium to actually catch the confetti—made the moment unforgettable.

For someone who had been there since the team’s second season, watching the Buccaneers win their second championship was a full-circle moment.

From a seven-year-old watching the team’s first victory…

To standing in Tampa as the confetti fell after another Super Bowl championship.

What a journey.

To my Fellow Captains & FanFamily

Perhaps the greatest memory of all isn’t a single game or event.

It’s every minute spent with the fellow Captains and the incredible Buccaholic members who showed so much love and appreciation throughout the years.

Those people became the true heart of the journey.

🎭 THE NEXT CHAPTER

After ten incredible years, retirement from the Buccaholics board doesn’t mean walking away from the Buccaholics.

It simply means making room for another passion.

Acting.

A passion that had been there many years ago and was rediscovered after getting back on stage.

And once that feeling returned, the decision became clear: it was time to give that passion the attention it deserved.

With both children now grown and fewer demands on the family schedule, there is finally time to pursue some of those passions that had been waiting in the wings.

So this isn’t goodbye.

It’s simply reappropriating time and beginning the next act.

❤️ A MESSAGE TO THE BUCCAHOLICS FANFAMILY

To the entire Buccaholics FanFamily:

Keep sending those game-day messages.

Keep reaching out.

Keep cheering.

And don’t worry—the opinions aren’t going anywhere either!

There are still a million strong opinions that might piss a few people off.

They just might not be aired quite as often anymore.

There is nothing but love for this group, the fellow Captains, and all of Buc Nation.

The role may have changed.

The chapter may have turned.

But the love for the Buccaneers—and the people who make up this incredible FanFamily—will always remain.

From a seven-year-old kid watching the Buccaneers earn their first-ever victory…

To one of the Original 9 Buccaholics…

To ten years of leadership, friendship, charity, and unforgettable memories…

This is more than a Buccaneers story.

It’s a story about community.

It’s about finding your FanFamily.

It’s about giving back.

It’s about making memories with people who started as strangers and became lifelong friends.

And it’s about leaving something behind that is bigger than yourself.

⚓ ONCE A BUCCAHOLIC, ALWAYS A BUCCAHOLIC.
