The Buccaholics community has shown remarkable dedication to making a difference beyond cheering for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This past season, our family of fans united to support the American Diabetes Association (ADA), raising $11,800 to help fight diabetes. This achievement adds to a proud legacy of giving back that spans over 11 years and more than $72,000 raised to date. Our story is one of passion, commitment, and real impact on families affected by diabetes.

A Legacy of Giving Back
The Buccaholics community has always been about more than football. From the start, our members have believed in using our collective energy and passion to support causes that matter. Over the years, we have built a tradition of giving back, focusing on local families and national charities alike.
Our partnership with the American Diabetes Association is a perfect example of this commitment. Volunteers wearing red ADA t-shirts have been a familiar sight at community health fairs, spreading awareness and offering support. These events bring together families, healthcare professionals, and advocates, creating a space where education and hope thrive.
How We Raised $11,800 This Season
This season’s fundraising success came from a combination of auctions, meetups, and direct donations. Each event was designed to engage the community and encourage participation:
Charity Auctions: Fans donated memorabilia and unique experiences, which were auctioned off to raise funds. These auctions created excitement and friendly competition while supporting a worthy cause.
Community Meetups: Informal gatherings allowed fans to connect, share stories, and contribute donations in person. These meetups strengthened our community bonds and raised awareness about diabetes.
Direct Donations: Many members chose to contribute directly, showing their support even if they couldn’t attend events. This option made it easy for everyone to participate.
Together, these efforts brought in $11,800, a significant boost to the ADA’s programs and research.
The Power of the Krewe
The Buccaholics Krewe is more than a fan group; it is a force for positive change. Over 11 years, we have raised over $72,000 to support families affected by diabetes. This milestone reflects the generosity and dedication of our members.
Our impact goes beyond numbers. Each dollar raised helps fund education, research, and support services that improve lives. Families receive resources to manage diabetes, researchers gain tools to find better treatments, and communities become stronger through awareness.
Stories from the Community
Behind every donation is a story. For example, one local family shared how ADA programs helped their child manage type 1 diabetes, giving them confidence and peace of mind. Another member spoke about the importance of community support during their own diabetes diagnosis.
These stories remind us why our work matters. They inspire us to keep pushing forward, knowing that our efforts make a real difference.
Looking Ahead
The journey is far from over. As we celebrate this season’s success, we also look to the future. Our goals include:
Expanding outreach to reach more families in need
Increasing participation in fundraising events
Building stronger partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations
By continuing to work together, the Buccaholics community can create lasting change and support even more people affected by diabetes.
How You Can Get Involved
If you want to join the Buccaholics in making a difference, there are many ways to help:
